OPA S2.1 has arrived

The MLstate team is proud to announce OPA S2.1, for all platforms. This release comes two months after OPA S2 and improves the general experience, including error messages, compiler speed, performance of real-time web, distribution and other features.

Also, for the first time, the Windows version of OPA is now on par with other versions in terms of features. The Windows port of OPA has been merged with the Macintosh and Linux versions and will now be kept synchronized.

MLstate in Shanghai

MLstate will be present in the World Exposition 2010 in Shanghai, China, as part of the technology & innovation branch of the French pavilion.

During the exposition, we will be taking part in a series of IT conferences and we will present the OPA platform and technology.

MLstate in Stockholm

MLstate will be present at OWASP AppSec 2010 Web Security Conference, in Stockholm, Sweden, from June 21 to June 24. During this conference, we will demonstrate OPA and present some of our research results on the topic of security for the web.

MLstate is proud to be one of the six companies selected during French Tech Tour 2010 to represent French innovation at SF New Tech, and one of the fifteen companies selected by a panel of technology world leaders to bring about a taste of French start-ups to the Silicon Valley.

We will also be at Stanford University for a technical talk on June 15th, on the topic of formal methods and web security.

OPA S2 has arrived

The OPA team is proud to announce the release of OPA S2. This new release expands considerably the possibilities of the OPA platform, with new features at every level, and integrates the feedback from previous versions, in terms of syntax, libraries, error messages and documentation. In addition, a new experimental Windows version is now available for download.

Progress update

The next version of OPA is now ready and undergoing testing. The release is scheduled for April 15th.

This version introduces a number of syntax improvements based on the feedback received on previous versions, as well as a numerous safety and security improvements, simpler APIs for a number of advanced features such as sharing state between users, more powerful database operations, speed optimizations, bandwidth optimizations, better error messages and more flexible automated analysis -- and better documentation.

This version will be made available for Linux, MacOS X and, for the first time, Microsoft Windows.

What's coming next

First, thanks for all remarkably good internship applications we received. All positions are now taken, and our whole team is now working on exciting new features.

The next version of OPA, scheduled for the end of March, will feature an extended, much improved standard library. We're also working on building a faster compiler and we hope it will be ready in time to be included in this next release. Stay tuned!
